G. Evan Bennett is the founder of Anthocap, a company that invests in commercial real estate, while also exploring opportunities in the adjacent fields of PropTech and FinTech. An American by birth, Evan first lived in Japan as a young adult. It proved to be one of the most meaningfully formative experiences of his life. As that connection remained steadfast through the years, he returned to Japan in 2026 and currently resides in Sapporo with his family.
Over the preceding 20 years, Evan dedicated himself to professional growth in the field of commercial real estate investment. He began as an appraiser at the world’s largest commercial real estate services company, which operates in more than 100 countries. He then worked as a loan originator in the commercial real estate section of the world’s largest financial services company by market capitalization. Building on those experiences, he founded a private equity sponsor of commercial real estate investments in the Pacific Northwest and Northern California regions of the United States. Today, drawing on experience across the investment, lending, and portfolio management sectors of the commercial real estate industry, Evan brings multiple perspectives to his work, combining a comprehensive understanding of due diligence, underwriting, and reporting with sound judgment in business development, asset-level strategy, and investor relations.
During that same period of time, Evan also advanced through progressively senior leadership roles in FIABCI, the International Real Estate Federation. Founded in Paris, France in 1951, FIABCI is a non-profit professional association that currently has 45 national and multi-national chapters around the world. It is a cross-disciplinary network of real estate professionals, with members in over 80 countries across five continents. Most recently, Evan served as the First Vice President of its World Council of Developers and Investors and the 2024-2025 President of its USA chapter, FIABCI-USA.
